Warpath – Walking the Battlefields of the Cholas by Ramesh Vangipuram, is his very first book on the Medieval Cholas and their battles with their rivals. It contains immense material gathered personally through the rough and tumble of travel, of almost 25,000 km from Vizhinnam in southern Kerala to Bangladesh border, to almost all the battlefields of the Cholas outside of Tamilnadu. It is a story of their victories starting from Rajarajan (985 CE) to Rajendran and to his 3 sons who built the Empire and put the Cholas in an unassailable position.
