First trip with HI... enjoyed the full day eco-experiential Neithal tour! Very informative and action-oriented...loved the tree walk (not enough time!) & shore walk and awesome knowledge sharing on the changing ecosystem and its impacts by Babu, Bhuvana and Raj throughout the day👍👍

Neithal Trail tour group participation on 18th August. Tour expert guide Mr.Raj, a passonate professional bird watcher and eco systems advisor took us through a visual tour of coastal region water body sites for the seasonal migratory and resident birds speceies visits and explaind their habitation and migration capabilities. His narrations supported by visual aids such as photographs, placards,booklet and with a high resolution and range covering binaculars on stand all gave an intersting experience to all in the group. Ms.Bhuvana, an envvironmentalist explained the present scenario of eco systems with the rate of escalating pollution created by human in damaging the nature and environment which are irreplaceable harming the lives of human and the other species. Also explained and demonstrated the ways to bring changes in our daily life to use non plastic material pollution free items which are bio degradeable to re vitalise our earth soil enabling green growths and healthy environment. Dr.Babu, a marine life biology scholar and guide explained on coastal region type trees, their propogation characteristics and importance in safe guarding our earth soil from sea erosion and flood related calamities. Also imparted knowledge about another intersting learning of these marine lives was through a participants engaging activity performed by him in the name of 'Treasure Hunt' on the Alamparai beach sands to pick and collect a number of variety of sea-shells matching with a picture images of marine species photo card which the team of participants enthusiastically participated and the collected shells were displayed and explained by Dr.Babu about their lives unique body strucures and characteristics for everyones understanding. Appreciate and thank all the Heritage Inspired team, organisers and the experts for bringing out this educative and experiential group tour. Kannan Ramaswamy Pearls of Pandiyas Tour March 16-18 2024 Tour organiser and the time keeper role performed by Mr.Senthilraj was commendable and the arrangement made in providing village food, padhaneer in palm leaf and including the local special dishes in hotel stay menu were well thought out and executed to everyone taste and like. Climb to reach kazhugu malai temple and jain temple was fun filled with interactions had among fellow group members and with tour guiding experts experiences that each one will cherish ever after beyond tour. Kuravanji program village art was the highlight show of tour where Kuravanji dance was enacted by each artist of troup earnestly bringing out the story and situations through their folk dance gestures and facial expressions. History narrations by experts, Dr.Kannan and Paru madam were with so much clarity and insight, dealt patiently and interestingly with tour group intriguing questions. The temples and the locations in tour by the careful selelection of HI tour organisers visited, spoke volumes of the art and skill of craftsmen employed in creating the historical architectures which stood times of centuries, the contributions of the Pandiya,Chalukya rulers and their dedication to achieve in the construction of monumental structures to register their culture, designs and the efforts to execute and convey to their subjects and the generations to come after to talk and cherish their work even after their periods. The tour as a whole was a bundle of experiences of explorative, educative and co-group traveller friendly enjoyable to cherish in memory. Thanks to the HI team in providing the opportunity to be a part of their tour endevours and look forward to participate in more of such wonderful tours with unique experiences in the future. Gave me an insight of our rich history which was denied to us earlier in school. Heritage inspired have given their heart and soul to the tour . Every detail was looked into . From stay to food to getting to see places in remote corners . Such involvement can be seen only when people are in ovens with their heart .

This is my second tour with HI , and it was again more than what was expected..’The Neithal trail’ - An eco sensitising , experiential tour of the Neithal landscape , covering the marshes, wetlands, saltwater lakes, backwaters & estuaries of Chennai. definitely was not just a fun tour, but still enjoyable &. an eye opener ..Lots of unknown details about the Neithal ecosystem system were explained . Was quite informative and enlightening , thanks to the experts Dr.Balu , Dr. Bhuvana for all information and knowledge about the diff eco systems of the city, abt waste management , about the dangerous impact of the dumping of wastes, , construction activities & other so called development activities and how that’s destroying & shrinking our delicate marshlands , which are the lungs of the earth .. & hw we as an individual cd bring about change was emphasised . Wd say it is A must go tour to understand the place where we live and about our responsibility to leave it liveable fr our next generation !! When I saw an ad of a tour which explains iconography, I was very surprised. I then spoke to Radhika and was quite convinced with the intent of the trip. As the dates neared, I was curious about the execution of the trip. Believe me, I am highly impressed with the passion they have for introducing history this way. They have roped in local farmers, chefs, eminent historians and others to give us an authentic local experience, and this experience is global standards ! They take care of every small request of travellers and make sure everyone enjoys the trip. Their interest in sustainable living gives them an edge over the others. Since I went solo, safety was my concern and it was very well addresses by them. This trip is a a full fledged meal for history enthusiasts, a cultural extravaganza for art lovers and a truly different vacation for avid travellers, as one will find a lot of hidden gems. I am an absolute love with this heritage trail concept after I did Incredible Cholas with them. Anand, Ramesh and Prof. Kannan are the pillars of this magnificent edifice called Heritage Inspired, and Radhika, the face of this. Believe me,all of them rock ! The trip was fun overloaded and history reloaded. I loved it. However, a better upkeeping of time and a longer duration at tanjavur would have been icing on the cake. Nevertheless, i enjoyed! Well organized tour. I had a seamless experience from booking to deboarding. Though a small operation, the manpower was adequate to cover all fronts across the itinerary. Their knowledge and dedication of our heritage is humbling. The surprise elements were truly gratifying and enjoyable. The bus was meticulously clean with a good and trustworthy crew. It also felt good to travel with others who enjoyed this intellectual and cultural experience. There was always a helping hand to help me at temple stairs and thresholds so I never felt the inadequacy of traveling solo. I would certainly like to travel with Heritage Inspired again.

Kudos to HI ! Run-off-the-mill facilities at JIJI's, Tenkasi needs to be addressed. Cannot think of alternatives to plastic in packaged water bottles distributed liberally to the "Pandyargal" on the tour. Awarded 4 in line with the adage " Even the best can be improved" ! Add new sites to keep that element of surprise if one wants to redo the same tour after two or three years ! Wish HERITAGE INSPIRED success in every endeavour !!
